Breast Augmentation With Lift
Breast augmentation with a breast lift is a safe, natural-looking cosmetic procedure that enhances and lifts the breasts, giving you a perkier, fuller appearance.
Led by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. David B. Brothers, the Plastic Surgery Center of Atlanta offers breast augmentation with a breast lift for women who desire both an increase in size as well as an alteration of breast elevation. Dr. Brothers sees patients from Sandy Springs, Decatur, Duluth, and other surrounding areas.
What Is Breast Augmentation With Lift?
While some women desire larger breasts, and others are interested in correcting their sagging breasts, some women feel as though a combination of both procedures is what will give them the breast appearance they are looking for.
Breast augmentation with lift is a combined breast enhancement surgery that increases the size of the breasts with implants and raises the elevation of the breasts with a breast lift.
Am I a Candidate for Breast Augmentation With Lift?
Candidates for breast augmentation with lift do not smoke, are at a healthy weight, and have realistic expectations of their results.
Women considering this procedure:
- Want larger, fuller breasts
- Have lost firmness due to pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Have asymmetrical or tuberous breasts
Breast Augmentation With Lift Procedure
This procedure tightens and lifts your existing breast tissue. Then, breast implants are placed into the breast to provide a fuller, firmer appearance.
What Are My Implant Choices?
Similar to a stand-alone breast augmentation, breast augmentation with a breast lift uses saline or silicone implants to add volume to the breasts. These implants are available in a wide variety of sizes, shapes, textures, and profiles so that you can find the implant that is best suited for your needs.
- Saline implants are filled with a sterile saline solution that is filled by your surgeon during the augmentation procedure.
- Silicone implants are filled with a cohesive silicone gel. These implants are thought to look and feel more natural than saline implants and are the go-to choice for many women.
What Are My Breast Lift Incision Options?
Breast lift surgery is performed alongside a breast augmentation to raise the breasts by tightening sagging tissues. This allows the new implants to be well-supported.
You have several incision options, depending on your severity of breast ptosis (sagging).
What Is a Crescent Lift?
A crescent lift is perfect for ladies who only have a small amount of sagging. A small incision around the top half of the areola is made to insert the implant and move the breast tissue.
What Is the Periareolar (“Donut”) Lift?
This is similar to the crescent lift and is recommended for mild sagging. An incision is made around the whole areola, the breast tissue is lifted, the implant placed, and the areola size reduced.
What Is the Vertical (“Lollipop”) Lift?
For women who have more significant sagging and need their breasts reshaped, this technique may be appropriate. Incisions are made in the shape of a lollipop: one around the areola, and one running from the bottom of the areola to the bottom of the breast. This allows the surgeon to lift and reshape the tissue.
What Is the Anchor Lift?
The anchor lift is performed for women with significant breast ptosis. This technique uses the lollipop incision but extends it to include an incision across the breast crease, which is also known as the inframammary fold.
What Is Recovery Like After Breast Augmentation With Lift?
Full recovery takes about six weeks, although most women can return to work after one week.
Immediately after surgery, you will be sent home with light dressings and a special bra to protect the incisions and support the augmented breasts. You can expect some soreness and swelling, and you will likely be prescribed a mild painkiller.
Walking and light activity are recommended to speed the healing process, but you want to be careful that you do not overexert yourself.
After the first week, you should be able to resume most normal activity, although strenuous exercise is discouraged. Lifting more than five pounds should be avoided during the first three to five weeks.

Financing is available through CareCredit® and Alphaeon™ Credit, and we also accept cash, checks, and most major credit cards.
