It was a typical day at Plastic Surgery Centre of Atlanta: Medical Director and board certified plastic surgeon Dr. David Brothers and his staff were going through their daily routine of assisting patients and making sure everyone went home happy. Unbeknownst to the team, they would soon be helping a very different type of patient—the furry kind.
After leaving her appointment, a patient came back to the practice to alert the staff to odd sounds coming from her car. The medical staff sprung into action, not knowing what exactly they were getting themselves into. As they neared the parking lot, they heard a faint whining coming from her car and immediately popped the hood. To their surprise, three young kittens were trapped in the engine compartment.
The team quickly responded to the situation, not knowing the health of the tiny kittens. Using some turkey slices donated by one of the staff (an empty sandwich was a small price to pay!), they were able to slowly lure the frightened kittens out of the hood of the car.
