HAVE A “CHEAT DAY” WITH ONE OF ATLANTA’S BEST BURGERS

The cheeseburger is a quintessential part of American cuisine, though sometimes the meat and two buns formula can leave something to be desired. Luckily, Atlanta proves that a burger doesn’t have to be just a hunk of beef topped with cheese. Hand crafted condiments, freshly baked buns, homemade pickled veggies, and grass fed beef make some local burgers an out-of-this-world option—and Thrillist recently rounded up some of the very best options right here in Atlanta.

While we’re all about filling your body with healthy, whole foods most of the time, sometimes you just need a burger. Here are a few of their picks with our own favorite thrown in!

ATLANTA’S BEST HAMBURGER CONTENDERS

THE ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME BURGER

We’re calling this a once-in-a-lifetime burger for a very good reason: it’s so extreme you should probably only have one…ever. In fact, it’s so big that it can be shared with a friend or two, so consider gathering your besties and making it an event complete with selfies. Three beef patties, eighteen slices of cheese, eighteen slices of bacon, two grilled cheese sandwiches on the inside, and all the fixin’s on top make up “The Triple Coronary Bypass” by Vortex.

CHECK OUT A “HEALTHY” OPTION

The YEAH! Burger brings a healthy dose of sustainable food to the table with their classic concoction of local grass-fed beef, organic American cheese, and hydroponic Bibb lettuce. With ingredients like these, you won’t feel so bad occasionally indulging in this delicious cheeseburger!

ADD A LITTLE HEAT

Muss & Turner’s knows burgers. They take the traditional “beef and cheese between two shiny buns” recipe to the next level by topping it off with a roasted poblano pepper and cilantro aioli for a hint of spice and creaminess. YUM!

PLASTIC SURGERY CENTRE WEIGHS IN: CAN A NON-BEEF BURGER TAKE THE GOLD?

If you’re looking for one of the best Atlanta restaurants, look no further than the General Muir. Their menu is full of classics with a twist, including their burger. We suggest the burger that has nothing to do with beef and is all about the pork: the Pastrami Bacon Cheeseburger. Featuring piles of pastrami, loads of bacon, shaved Vidalia onion, and topped with bread and butter pickles, this unorthodox burger is sure to satisfy.
